Notes |
1 | 1E is the value I found it as. "05" makes the main menus scroll upwards like crazy. |
2 | White text appears in the upper-left corner of the screen with a date and time. This is the same date and time shown in the Debug MCM that I found. |
3 | This code discovered by Rune. It allows the player to choose any character in the game, their character's size, any level in the game, individual items, the frequency of items, including way too many other interesting options.
For these codes, go into the main menu, and select ANY mode. For a better understanding of what you can do in the Debug MCM, please click here. Much thanks goes to davidk and GCNHacker87 for the website, and donny2112 for providing the Global Edit FAQ! |
4 | All of the music in the game (plus possibly some you've never heard) is here! You can choose your volume levels and play any music you wish! |
5 | 00 - Main Menu 01 - Options Menu 02 - Vs Mode Character Select 03 - 1P Mode (Classic) 04 - 1P Mode - Level (Adventure Mode) 05 - All Star Mode 06 - Debug Master Control Menu (MCM) 07 - Debugger's Sound Test Menu 08 - Crashes (Announcer says 'Melee') 09 - Crashes (Black Screen of Death) 0A - Special Camera (Camera Mode?) - Press Start To Access This 0B - Trophy Mode - Gallery 0C - Trophy Mode - Lottery 0D - Trophy Mode - Collection 0E - Final Battle Against ...Master Hand? Falcon's medal falls onto the character medal 'sheet' as if you had just beat the game with him. Afterwards, you play that silly shooting game. Then you see his FMV. Finally, "A New Foe Has Appeared" Screen (Jigglypuff) shows, and you fight Jigglypuff. Then you earn Jigglypuff and some crappy trophies. Yay! 16 - same as '15', but you get a different CG picture of C.Falcon. ... 17 - same as '15' and '16', but there's a different CG picture. (All medas in these kind of codes are randomized.) 18 - White Nintendo Screen (Before Short Character FMV) 19 - Plays the following FMVs [fighting hidden character(s) FMVs]:
1) Luigi Jumping On Mario's Head FMV 2) Metroid "Warning"? - Planet Zebes Blowing Up 3) Kirby Star/Fight FMV 4) Star Fox Wingmen Reporting In 5) F-Zero Cars Going By/Blowing Up 6) Metal Mario FMV 7) Bowser Medal / Ice Climbers Cheering/Giga Bowser Breaking Out of Medal FMV / Bowser Medal Blowing Up
Then a Congratulations screen. 1A - same as 15 - 17, BUT a DEBUG SCREEN comes up! it might be a new one... 'dunno. Anyone like to take some pictures and compare, please? 1B - Special Melee?? - Tournament Mode 1C - 1P Mode - Training Mode 1D - Special Melee - Tiny Melee 1E - Special Melee - Giant Melee 1F - Special Melee - Stamina Melee 20 - Stadium - Home Run Contest 21 - Stadium - Multi-Man Melee - 10-Man Melee 22 - Stadium - Multi-Man Melee - 100-Man Melee 23 - Stadium - Multi-Man Melee - 3-Min. Screens (Infinite Looped) 2A - Special Melee - Fixed Camera Melee (Is this a normal option?) 2B - Puts you into Event Match #1 (Weird) 2C - Special Melee - Single-Button Melee |
6 | This fixed version prevents the game from freezing at the win screen with special characters. |
7 | 01 - yellow, dark blue, and some red colouring only? 04 - yellow colouring only? 02 - yellow colouring and some dark blue colouring only?
This code only exists in a slide. I've tried condensing it down, but it doesn't work. Feel free to port the code and try the quantity digits. |
8 | Every single time you attack someone, the crowd will always cheer. |
9 | This changes the max allowable size in the Debug Menu size modifier from 5 to 1000. |
10 | This allows Mushrooms and Poison Mushrooms to stack. (e.g. 1 Mushroom doubles your size, 2 Mushroom makes you 4x, etc.) The effect lasts until you die. |
11 | .. 04 - Fourth Player (CPU) ..
When you go into a match, you cannot control your character, no matter which port you put your controller into. However, you can still pause and cancel the match.
If you use any of the CPU digits, then your character will have 'CPU' over his/her head in the match, and your opponent will be 'P1'. If the computer player dies (it actually happened) via suicide, the match will continue to infinity. |
12 | Note: This code is difficult to understand. Why does it affect both P1 *and* P1's ally? Btw, it does not affect your second ally's name at all.
Anyone mind testing these digits? They are different than the icon modifier q. digits.
02 - C. Falcon |
13 | The following codes have a minor side-effect: some of the characters at the Vs Select Screen are enormous. |
14 | 02 & 03 - Removes text underneath VS Screen (Used by game for 'Break The Targets' and 'Snag The Trophy', and for Vs Team Battles ) [Value used in 'vs team' matches] 04 - ? (vs bowser) |
15 | Note: This code can be quite funny, such as when Luigi falls down onto his stomach! |
16 | The victor's movements are blown up into the boxes. |
17 | Note: A useful code if you want to know which player has won immediately after a match. |
18 | The flashing that goes along with your character appears, but your character does not. Mario's win pose of circular fireballs in the air is cool to watch. Some miscellaneous borders are got turned off in the process. |
