Notes |
1 | This adds a door to the Safari Zone building in Fuschia City. You can actually enter the beta safari zone this way! Save before you go in because there is no exit. |
2 | You can modify the code to let you start with any level Pokemon by changing the first two digits.
Remember to pick the middle Pokeball in Elm's lab.
You can use this code together with my "Start with any Pokemon" code which means you can start with any Pokemon you want, and any level you want! |
3 | Replace the "XX" with the two digit code from the list below. Go into Professor Elm's lab and pick the MIDDLE Pokeball. The picture will still show Totodile, but you will get whichever Pokemon you picked with the code. So for example, if you wanted to start with Celebi, you would just find Celebi in the list below (Celebi is the last one on the list) and put the two digit code (next to his name) in place of the "XX" in the code above. So since Celebi's two digit code from the list below is "FB", this is the code you would use: FB1-38B-910. Just remember to pick the middle Pokeball in Elm's lab.
Below is a list of all the Pokemon in the game. Just find the Pokemon you want and put the number in place of the "XX" in the code above.

4 | When you start a new game you get 2 Kanto badges, 2 Johto badges, $5,245,880 and 20,560 casino coins! The money and coin counters show up weird though. |
5 | Start with 6 Kanto badges, 6 Johto badges, and even more $ and coins! Also when you get your first Pokémon, if you talk to Elm again before grabbing the Pokémon he gives you a Master Ball! HOWEVER, Elm won't take the Mystery Egg so you can't get past Route 30. :( |
6 | For the first enemy, after either Pokémon attacks the enemy dies. After that all the rest (in a trainer battle) die instantly. (This works until the end of the match, then one has to attack before they die. Also if they use a recovery attack they won't die.) |
7 | I am not responsible for anything that these codes may do to your game, whether direct or indirect, which can include, but not limited to the erasing of your saved game.
These codes only work on Rt. 30. The codes below let you catch Celebi, but you can modify the codes so that you can catch any Pokemon you want. To modify the codes, just change the first two digits of each code to the two digits of the Pokemon you want (see the list below the codes). The two digits for Celebi are "FB", so that's why all 3 codes begin with FB. So for an example, if you wanted to catch Bulbasaur, you would find Bulbasaur in the list below (Bulbasaur's number is 01), then change the first two digits of each of the 3 codes from FB to 01.
You may have to enter more than one battle before you catch the Pokemon you want. |
8 | If you want to catch another Pokemon besides Celebi, just find the one you want from the list below and use the number from the left as the first two digits of the codes above (in place of "FB").

9 | These codes will only work on the old style of Game Boy, or on any emulator that can use Game Genie codes. So if you have a Color Game Boy, then the codes will probably not work.
There is a possibility that these codes may erase your saved game, so use the codes at your own risk.
Here is what these new codes (below) will do:
Enter the code for the city you want, then enter the shop (Pokemart) and go to buy some items. You will find that you have several hundred different items that you can buy!! To see the extra items, just keep pressing the "down" button.
Here is a partial list of the items you can buy in the shops with the code on (remember, you can get all of this with only ONE code!)....
Teru-Sama, TM16, HM12, Ultraball, Masterball, Nugget, Exp. Share, Berserk Gene, Machine Part, Water Stone, Lemonade, Metal Powder, Revival Herb, TM08, Poke Doll, Bright Powder, HP Up, Red Apricorn, Cleanse Tag, TM10, Max Repel, Full Restore, Elixer, Tiny Mushroom, HM04, Max Ether, Red Scale, Przcureberry, Lucky Punch, TM46, Good Rod, Burnt Berry, TM09, Rage Candybar, etc....
And the list goes on and on... Some of the items you get for free, but some of the items you still have to pay for. You may have to scroll down a long time before you find the item you want (just keep pressing the "down" button). |
10 | By changing the first two digits of these codes from FE to FF, you will have an infinite number of items to choose from, but the game may restart once in a while when you go to buy things in the shops, so use "FF" at your own risk. Everytime I used "FE" for the first 2 digits, I never had any problems. |
11 | Use the list below and pick the item you want, then put the 2 digit code on the left in place of the "XX" in the code (or codes) above.

12 | These codes will only work on the old style of Game Boy, or on any emulator that can use Game Genie codes. So if you have a Color Game Boy, then the codes will probably not work.
There is a possibility that these codes may erase your saved game, so use the codes AT YOUR OWN RISK. |
13 | This code is MUCH easier to use than the old money code. Here's how: Enter any shop (pokemart) that sells "Potion". Buy as many Potions as you can (for $300 each). Now turn on the money code (FF9-189-E6E) and sell the potions back for $32,662 each!! |
14 | Any of these free item codes can also be used to get free money by buying the items for free with the code turned on, then turn the code off and sell the items back for lots of money. |
