Xploder64 The Ultimate Cheat CARTRIDGE for Nintendo®64 We congratulate to you to the purchase of the XPLODER64, the advancement of the price-crowned XPLODER. The XPLODER64 continues now the success of the Xploderfamilie (XPLODER Classic, FX and XPLODER Professional) for Sony PlayStation® at the Nintendo®64. With the XPLODER64 to date most progressive Cheat cartridge for the Nintendo®64 belongs to you now - console. Hundreds of Cheats are already in the XPLODER64 stored, altogether fit almost 10,000 codes on the module. The XPLODER64 processes naturally also the codes of the GamebusterTM, Action ReplayTM and the Game SharkTM. One of the outstanding innovations is the code Constructor, with which you find new Cheats out during playing. The Cheats found out thereby functions naturally also with every other Nintendo®64-XPLODER, independently of the execution or the purchase date. They can give by adjustment possibilities for background sample, colors u.v.m. your individual, singular Look to the XPLODER user surface. Take yourselves please the time to read the operating instructions completely. It is worthwhile itself. Installation of the XPLODER 64 1. Before you begin with the installation of the XPLODER64, make sure please that the Nintendo®64 - console is switched off. 2. Remove your put in play from the pit of the Nintendo®64. 3. Put the XPLODER64 with the menu key and the LED now forward carefully into the pit of the Nintendo®64. Please not too strong press, otherwise the pit as well as the XPLODER64 can be damaged. 4. Put now the desired Nintendo®64 play into the XPLODER64. 5. Switch the Nintendo®64 on console. 6. On the screen now the XPLODER main menue appears. Importantly - watched out! If you do not see here the XPLODER64 main menue, use one of the plays the one special starting attitude to probably require. Read please under extended starting attitude in the manual, how these plays are started. Those are plays like e.g. 1080 Snowboarding, banjo Kazooie, Yoshi's story and Zelda Ocinara OF Time the one other starting attitude need. The main menue and its functions The main menue is your point of entrance to the functions of the XPLODER64. In the menus you go activating these with the analog stick or with the tax cross on the desired function and as the A-key (if not differently indicated). The main menue indicates the following options to you: Play start Cheats select Extended Main menue option “play start” If you activate directly this function, the play without Cheats, in the console, is loaded. Main menue option “Cheats code” Select this option, if you activate Cheats, to delete or add want. The Cheat file had a kontextsensitives Menüsytsem that means, in the lower screen third all are indicated to you in each case here the program possible functions and their key allocation. Activate from Cheats already stored After you select the option “Cheats” with the A-key activated, the alphabetically sorted list with all Cheats already stored appears on the screen. In order to move by the list from play to play, you press simply the tax cross/downward above. For fast sheets from side to side you use the L/R keys. As soon as you achieved the correct play, you can activate the Cheats for this play. Do you press the A-key around all for this play existing Cheats at the same time, or on C? To activate key around only individual Cheats. If you selected the desired Cheats, press the start button over to the main menue to return. Go now on “play starting” and to confirm you with the A-key. Their play is now started. New Cheats add New Cheats can be added very simply and fast. Here we describe you, how you can enter Cheats into the XPLODER. It by a magazine, which received Internet or from a friend. Before you enter the Cheats, examine please first whether for this play Cheats are stored not already in the XPLODER. 1. Activate “new play” with the A-key. “New play” is always the first play in the Cheat list, and as substitute symbols for plays which can be entered again serves. If you want to enter additional Cheats for a play already existing in the XPLODER, go with the tax cross up to the play and pressing C þ key. Continue in this case directly with point 4. 2. Enter now to the names of the new play and store you with the start button or with OK ONE in the screen menu. 3. The straight entered play stands now directly alphabetically arranged in the list. 4. Activate “new Cheat description” with the A-key. 5. Enter the description of the Cheats, e.g. “infinitely to lives”, “all weapons” or similarly and store again with the start button or with OK ONE in the screen menu. 6. Go now on “new code” and activating you with the A-key the code input. 7. Enter now the actual code and store you with the starting or A-key. 8. As soon as you entered the code completely, you can activate it with the A-key. Start the play now. If the code should not function, examine whether you entered it correctly. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee you that a code functions despite correct input. Please you however always remember: If a code does not function, not the XPLODER is defective, but the code wrong in all rule. Importantly! Extended starting attitude Some plays like e.g. 1080 Snowboarding, banjo Kazooie, Yoshi's story and Zelda Ocinara OF Time require something other start of the XPLODER `S than you it are used. The XPLODER64 has a unique code code-system, which permits the entrance to all existing and still coming plays, in order to use your CheatCodes. If you see a black TV-screen after the above instructions “installation of the XPLODER64”, you must probably change the starting mode on your XPLODER64. Specially start mode: The XPLODER64 comes initially with 4 starting modes those at present all existing titles supports. These 4 start - modes cover the following plays Mario, Lylat Wars and many other plays start mode 1 (LED ON) 1080 Snowboarding, banjo Kazooie start mode 2 Yoshi's story start mode 3 Zelda: Ocinara OF Time start mode 4 Thus you change the start - for mode If you have a black TV-screen after the “installation of the XPLODER 64” and switching on on, press on the right side of the XPLODER `s on the menu - key, which will flash once briefly LED. Switch the Nintendo64TM off console at least for 4 seconds. Switch your console now. If the play does not function yet, repeat the above procedure - each pressure of the switch switches to the next mode. Press goes through everyone the present start - modes cyclically. Start mode 1 is selected, if the LED permanently ON is. The start - mode 1 is to be used for most plays. They need to reset thus only after one the Spezielen of plays these. If you have friends with a XPLODER64 and these to have more Cheats than you, or a newer version with more functions, you know its XPLODER64 Upgraden with its Cheats. Put first the newer XPLODER64 (or with more Cheats) into the Nintendo®64 console. 3. Put now the older XPLODER64 above into the new XPLODER64. Exactly the same as a play. 4. Put a play finally into the upper XPLODER64. 5. Now you have the Nintendo®64 - console, the new XPLODER64, the old XPLODER and in the end a play module before itself. 6. Switch now carefully your Nintendo®64-Konsole on. 7. Remove in no case now more one the XPLODER or the play. 8. Switch the Nintendo®64-Konsole off during the Upgrades in no case. 10. After the Upgrade you switch the Nintendo®64-Konsole and remove the XPLODER. 11. The basic principle Everyone knows it: during the play permanently the values for the number of lives, which one still possesses, change the number of gathered Credits, the time or the speed of the running car passed with the play. All things, which one would manipulate possibly gladly with the XPLODER, e.g. the number of lives is not itself any longer to reduce, if our hero left again times his life, one would like always 100 Credits to have, the round time is after one minute always at 1.5 seconds to be and our running speed always 500 km/h amount to. No problem. Only, which we must do in addition, is to find out, where into the Playstation itself the values for the number of the lives and Credits, which past time and the running speed find and these in such a way change that happens exactly, what we wished themselves. Perhaps you already noticed that all codes in the XPLODER have in each case 12 places. The reason is that each code represents a storage address and a memory value within the Nintendo®64-Konsole, and these form together always 12 places. Regard we again our desire for it that the number of remaining lives, also after we actually lost one does not change. Somewhere in the memory of the Nintendo®64 it must stand how much lives we possess straight. This “somewhere” is the storage address, and “how much” is the memory value. To the Nintendo®64-Speicher always applies: The first 8 places of a code indicate the storage address, the last 4 places the value of the memory. If we create it to find the storage address out for the number of lives we can change and “freeze” the value simply, so that it does not change independently of the play process no more. If we enter 5 as value, we will have always 5 lives, all the same how often our hero dies. The code Constructor is the tool, in order to find the desired storage addresses out and change the values, the XPLODER can the values in these storage addresses then freeze. And already we found a new Cheat out. The search principle The Nintendo®64-Speicher is very large and concomitantly the number of storage addresses. We search however only for exactly one storage address, in our example for the number of lives. The only way to out-get this storage address is, to exclude so long all for it in question not coming storage addresses from the search until only the one, correct, address remains. This principle is called generally linguistic usage “expulsion procedure”. Notice: We exclude all wrong addresses until only the correct address remains. Back for our example. We accept, our hero would have at the beginning of the play 3 life, a frequently used number. With the code Constructor we can pick now all storage addresses out, which have the value 3, all other address exclude we thereby. We play further and lose intentionally a life. The number of remaining lives is reduced to 2. Now we pick those out, which have now the value 2 with the code Constructor from the storage addresses, which had before the value 3. All other addresses are not applicable any longer and are therefore excluded. The number of remaining storage addresses is now already very small. We play further and lose still another life, it remain to now only 1 life. They already suspect which follow now? Correctly, we pick those out, which have now the value 1 from the remaining addresses, which had evenly the value 2. Usually now only an address, which has the value 1, remains to us and which is a goal reached: This address contains the value for the number of lives. Otherwise we repeat the search procedure like before so often to only an address remain remaining: A life lose and for the storage addresses look for, which have the number of remaining lives as value. We found thus the correct address. Now we can change the value, say we on 9 lives. We change the value thus on 9 and store this code in the XPLODER. The Cheat description reads “infinitely lives”, because the number of life remains always 9. They ask themselves now reliably, why we entered straight 9 and not 7 or 5. Because whether we have always 9 or always 5 lives, it unimportant actually, as long as does not become less. That is strictly speaking correct, it gives however a further possibility to consider: If we start later the play with the activated Cheat for “infinitely lives”, then we have 9 lives and not 5 at the beginning. As long as the Cheat remains activated, the number of lives does not change. We can also at any time in the middle switch however in the play the Cheats off. Now the number of lives is reduced again each time, if our hero loses a life. In our example we have then still 9 lives, otherwise 5 would have only been. In this kind one can increase and then “normally” further play the number of lives at the beginning of the play. If one has always infinite lives, the play can lose some nevertheless at tension, it is therefore frequently advisable to start only with according to more lives and switch the Cheats off then. So, now we should be prepared, in order to dare the first practice test. Thus the Cheat search with the code Constructor functions We recommend to you to try your first attempts out with a play the fact that with a number of lives works because the Cheat out for it to find in principle more easily than e.g. is the Cheat for infinite energy. 1. Activate in the main menue of the XPLODER `s the “InGame coach” with the “R-key” 2. Start the play. In our example we assume we possess 5 lives. 3. Activate the “InGame menu” (L + start + Z). 4. Select now the “code Finder” option. 5. There we after a value (5!) search, which we, we select the option “search for well-known value”. 6. Give now “5 "" under the screen option “to new search value enter” and press you the A-key. The XPLODER 64 starts now the search. 7. If the search is terminated, down on the screen the number of remainder possibilities is indicated. 8. Go now back to the play and losing you a life. 9. Restart the code Constructor and repeat you the search, this time with the value 4. The code Constructor picks now all storage addresses out, those before the value 5 had and have now the value 4. 10. Repeat this procedure (a life, value search start, lives lose lose etc.) until only very few or only one code remains. It is by the way no problem, if you lost all lives. Restart simply the play and look for again for the addresses, in those the value 5 (4, 3, 2….) stands. 11. Only if a possibility remained, you already found the code. Are still available, we must now examine several possibilities, which is the correct one. If you select one after the other one with the “A-key”, go back in the play and losing you a life. As soon as you lose a life and the number of lives is not reduced, has you the correct code found. The Cheat search was successful. We try it now with a second, code which can be found out somewhat more with difficulty. So far we always assumed we know the value, which we look for (number of the lives, speed in km/h or number of points of bonus). How do we find however a code out, for which we the current value not? A classical example of is an energy bar how it is used frequently with combat plays. For this we do not know value, which we however always know, are whether the energy bar longer (more largely!) or more briefly (smaller!) became. Thus we will always filter the storage addresses, with which the value became larger with this search, if the energy bar became longer, and the addresses exclude, whose value remained thereby smaller or alike. 1. Activate the “InGame coach” and start the play. The energy bar is now usually full. Activate the “InGame menu” (L + start + Z). , in order to start the code Constructor. 2. Select the “Game coach” option and then “search for unknown value” - “start search”. The XPLODER selects now the entire memory. Note for the next search whether the energy bar remained then longer (= more largely) or more briefly (= smaller) or exactly alike. 3. Return to the play and lose you something energy. 4. Restart the “code Constructor”. Select the option “value became smaller.”. They have now less energy! 5. Return to the play and lose you something energy and repeat you point 4. If you should occasionally energy in addition-get to have and more energy than with the last search possess, look simply for “value larger became”. 6. Repeat this procedure until the number of still possible codes became so small that it is worth itself to try these codes out. It is not a problem, if you must lose occasionally a life and again start you the play. The energy bar is then again full. With the last preceding search you had probably less energy. They can continue thus the search with “value are simple more largely become”. 7. Test now the remaining codes as already in our first example described. If you found the correct code, the energy bar may not change any longer! 8. This kind of the search lasts substantially longer than the “search for well-known value”. If you should have committed an error during the search (e.g. after “value became larger” searched, although the energy bar became smaller), you must completely again start the search. Because by expulsion procedures also the correct code was then excluded from the quantity of the possible codes! 9. Note the found codes, so that you can enter them later into the XPLODER (Vintages you for this “new Cheats add”.). Now you should be well prepared, in order to find many new and exciting Cheats out.
