I've been hooked on Halo since I got it. The game is obviously an FPS, but it's so much more. The wacko aliens that can take round after round from the machine gun are only the beginning. When you get to the zombies on steroids, you'll be begging for heavy artillery because those bastards just keep comin! They don't wanna die! You kill them and they get back up again. Could that be because they were dead to begin with? hehe
I've beaten the game on every difficulty. You might say it's challenging on Easy/Normal when one of those big ass swordsmen is around because he can kill you with one hit. Well, I came across one spot on Heroic where you gotta kill 5 of those psychos in 1 room! Did I mention they're invisible too? Yeah, they have camo so the only thing you can see is part of their sword, which isn't all that easy to spot. Luckily, they stand there and make this dumbass noise at you when they appear, giving you time to pop each one with the sniper rifle; it acts like Goldeneye's Couger Magnum when it comes to knockdown power. LOL
Snakey's Halo Tips:
1. A little tip for killing those fat hunters that you'll run into. A well-placed pistol round will take them down! It even shows you how in the demo if you wait for it to play. hehehe
2. As far as beating the game on harder difficulty levels, gorrilla warfare is a must. toss a few grenades, fire a few rounds, kill a few enemies, but when you start getting low on health... RUN AWAY!! Go recharge your health and come back to finish them off. It may take a little longer, but it won't takenearly as long as starting the battle over again. ;-)
3. Taking out Elites isn't usually a huge problem. A couple good ways I've found are to either (A) stun em with a charged plasma pistol shot, stick a grenade to him, and listen to him scream as he's turned into cat food, or (B) empty a needler clip or two at them and blow them up that way. If you can get the entire clip to stick to one, you'll kill him most times.
4. Use the Warthog for defense as well as offense. You can duck behind the Warthog to recharge your shield when need be. It usually provides cover if you're not surrounded. You can also get closer to the enemies while under cover by using the melee attack on it. Just don't try to push it uphill or you're gonna be one flat idiot.
5. If you need extra firepower, go get one of those nice mounted turrets. You can find them in a lot of places and you can take them almost anywhere with melee attacks and/or grenades. hehe
6. If you're having any trouble getting down to the map room, take the Warthog with you! Yes, it's possible to get it all the way down there. It just takes a little patience. :)
