| PC Games Deserve To Be Pirated
| 3/18/05
|
The last PC games I bought were Max Payne 2 and DOOM 3. DOOM 3 isn't even worth pirating, IMO. I've noticed the past several years that it's not worth buying PC games. Why buy them if you practically have to crack the goddamn things to play them anyway!? I don't have 50 CD-rom drives and I'm not looking for a different CD everytime I wanna play a goddamn game. Most of us prefer to play using virtual drives or cracked executables rather than inserting a dumbass disc all the time. Now they're doing so much to try and prevent piracy that it's crippling the people that want to play them without cracking them. Hell, DOOM 3 even looks for virtual CD programs, CloneCD, etc and refuses to run if you have those installed. Now the game manufacturers have the right to dictate what software we can have residing on our computers!!?!? FUCK THEM! The protection is crackable no matter what. Put some of that anti-piracy money and time into making games that actually run properly!
Also, why is it, most of the PC games in existance aren't even for sale anymore!?!? If they odn't want shit pirated, they need to keep it on the fucking store shelves. Dead To Rights 2 was recently released (or is about to be) and the first game is nowhere to be found. I haven't even seen it on Ebay for christ sakes. Amazon.com lists it, suuuure... "Usually ships within 1 to 2 weeks" 1-2 WEEKS!? I'm on dialup and I could probably download the goddamn thing by then!
p.s. Has anyone made a patch to fix the graphics of Quake 2? The N64 version has better graphics. That's just not right.
