Well, that's enough for me. I've dealt with GSCentral long enough. I've had enough of Xyle's arrogant site owner attitude, and I've damn sure had enough of Rune's "GSCentral owes everything to me, and it would die without me" ranting.
To make a short list, for those who don't know Rune...he deleted accounts (without anything near just cause), spammed in Italian, generally made far too many arbitrary administrative decisions, etc. He also deleted discussions of his wrong doing to hide it. However, in all of his infinite wisdom, macrox has decided to go against the wishes of many staff members and reinstate Rune. Without so much as asking all the existing admins if they had a problem with it, as used to be common practice around here until it became an all out dictatorship.
Over the past couple years, Xyle has acted like he's above everyone else, reversing/ignoring many decisions made by the other 2 active admins (IcyGuy and myself). Contrary to what some n00bs might think, Xyle does NOT own this place. He was supposed to be equal with the other administrators, but that's not how he works. And don't anyone mention seniority; I was here before him.
So the claim is that Rune is needed to enforce rules, etc. How do you expect him to enforce rules when he can't even be trusted to follow them!? Not to mention half the staff and senior members think he's a nazi. Rune was responsible for driving away macrox on more than one occasion, so it's even more amusing that macrox would decide to reinstate him. We used ask him to come back and put an end to the kinda stuff Rune was doing, and instead, he reinstates wacko! Personally, I'd have given the job to a pissed off monkey on whippets before I gave Rune another chance. Couldn't do any worse. Too bad Michael Jackson's sort of busy. He likes kids.
Oh, some people go a little too far? It's only a messageboard for christ sakes. It's like the way Crocc didn't think the UBB was secure enough because Parasyte found a few exploits. Helloooo? *knock* *knock* We're talking about Parasyte here. He could exploit anything! Oddly enough, vB has less secure banning options than the UBB did. Not to mention that we lost a ton of classic threads we'll never see again. In case anyone was wondering why the boards were closed for like 3 days, I suppose it was because of a bogus conspiracy they were worried about. Parasyte's crew hasn't gotten themselves involved enough in current issues to wanna start another riot. Although, it'll probably happen eventually.
The owners of the site haven't had the time or interest to be involved in the place in years; yet, Stinky still wastes his money on it while everyone just argues, flames, and points out how stupid the n00bs are. Invest in a hooker, buy stock from Martha Stewart, something! Hell, buy a dildo factory. You seem to like taking it up the ass.
GSCentral's golden days are over folks, and so am I. I'm leaving this place for good. I've wanted to walk away for quite sometime, but I've had nothing better to do. I gave up code creation and programming a long time ago. I still have nothing to do, but I'd rather spend a little more time watching porn than read these forums and deal with uptight wordists and overly religious fellows who want to impose their will on everyone else. If you are so terrified by a few specific words out of the 1000s in the english language, you need to seek help. Maybe one of those nice cults you always see on tv. BTW, did you know that like 98% of all complaints sent to the FCC are from 1 lone activist group? Now that's some people with too much goddamn time on their hands. They really need to get a life and quit trying to control everyone else's.
I hope some other members will take this time to evaluate their involvement here as well. Is it really worth it? I'm sorry, I just don't think it is. With that, I bid you farewell, and I revoke my consent for my codes to be displayed on GSCentral. GSCentral no longer has permission to display my codes or software I wrote. Don't worry about removing them; it's already done. Just pick off any that were missed.
